Screen Printing Workshop

Join AIGA Pittsburgh and Dan Rugh, owner of CommonWealth Press, for a beginner screen printing workshop. Prepare to get your hands dirty as you screen print your very own t-shirt and poster! Enjoy some snacks and throw back a few beers while you learn the fundamentals of screen printing in the CommonWealth studio. Learn how CommonWealth Press began as a basement experiment in 2002 and has quickly evolved into the successful business it is today. “CommonWealth Press primarily focuses on t-shirt print and design and the design of printing,” according to Dan. The studio houses manual presses, auto presses, flat stock, textile areas, a couple of studios, a woodshop, metal fabrication, and a pretty sweet disco ball. The CommonWealth Press workspace is full of ink and machinery, so please dress accordingly.
